My air conditioning is blowing cold air but it directs the flow to the windshield and floor and not from the vents in the dash.
It does blow cold just cant get it out vents.
Often this is experienced after replacement of the battery.
During battery replacement the control module for the mode actuators may lose its memory.
I checked under hood from manifold and under dash for bad vacuamn lines and all seems well.
I get good heat and air conditioning from my front vents but when i select floor or defrost vents the air still only blows from front vents.
Like grumpy and others who gave suggestions on exhaust.
My question is this.
I just started i checked the air vac answered by a verified jeep mechanic.
So i bypassed it.

Which part controls the vents in which the air flows.
On the astros when the heat only blows through defrost and floor it s due to a broken vacuum line.
As stated in the title i am only getting air blowing out of the defrost and floor vents but not the ones in the dash.
Owners have reported several instances of the air conditioning not blowing through main dash vents or only blowing through the floor and defrost vents.
I have installed a new blend door actuator at the passenger side and realized after the fact that wouldn t have helped my issue.
After installing a new blower fan motor the ac would only come out the defrost vents.
